Motor range Hoods
Motor power and placement of Hood:
If there is options for an external motor, the best result could be achieved. The noise will be significantly reduced by placing the motor on top of the ceiling, while the extraction capacity is higher. A hood with a built engine can be purchased either as free-hanging or mounting on a wall. The latter is easier to install and has a higher noise level than a solution where the motor is located externally. Normally, a hood with a built engine is used in solutions where the pipes go directly to a hole in the wall.
Kitchen size:
Motor power in the hood / cooker hood must be in accordance with the hob area. The effectiveness of exhaust ventilation is obviously the greatest, if hob area is less. Co-player kitchen size also enters as a hood or a hood should be able to replace the air in the room around. 10-20 times per hour. If the kitchen is of small size, it requires more force than usual.
Arithmetic looks like this:
Length x width x height = X m3
A kitchen to 6 feet in length, width of 5 meters and a depth of 2.5 meters = 75 m3. This means that the hood / cooker hood should be able to replace between 10 X 75 = 750 m3 and 20 x 75 = 1,500 per m3. hours. By making this calculation, the extractor fan or cooker hood can be properly sized relative to kitchen size.
The table below shows how great suction ability to a kitchen where ceiling height is 2.5 meters:
Size: |
Suction Capacity per. hours: |
| 10 m2 | 250-500 m3: |
| 20 m2 | 500-750 m3: |
| 25 m2 | 625-900 m3: |
| 35 m2 | 875-1300 m3: |
Size plays a big role in the acquisition of extraction in the kitchen. Although the model and design is the first thing you notice, we must not forget that it is the function that is most important.
Some models allow the hoisting cooker hood up and down. This option is probably more clever than necessary (even excluding the places where you sometimes use very tall pots). Exhaust ventilation should be located approx. 50 inches above the cooking plates. There is no difference in the use of old hobs and induction. In return, there must be a higher distance to a gas stove when flashover could otherwise ignite the fat, the filter has trapped.
If a central suction / recovery is installed already, a vent from a cooker hood can easily be connected.
