Noise can be annoying, especially if you stay in a space where there is otherwise quiet. So when choosing among the many models of hoods, it is important to focus on engine noise.
The noise is less when selecting a model with external motor, or a model with a possible connection to an existing central exhaust. It may be a good idea to install insulating vent pipe / tubing. There can of course occour atmospheric noise, which can be removed only if the level of suction is reduced.
Of the greatest importance is the motor force, which of course determines how effective exhaust ventilation will be. By selecting an external engine the sound is substantially reduced. Remember to place the engine in a room where noise is not a problem.
